SYML Brian Fennell, better known by his stage name SYML, is an American singer-songwriter. But that's just one facet of his musical talent. The trained music educator and accomplished pianist is a multi-talented artist, also honing his skills as a producer, sound engineer, guitarist, and percussionist. All these abilities are reflected in the extraordinary quality of SYML's nostalgic sound – an aesthetic that earned him a feature spot on the song "Paris, Texas" from Lana Del Rey's latest album. He recently released his third album, "The Day My Father Died," in 2023, following the two previous albums "Sacred Spaces" (2021) and "SYML" (2019). The latter debut album also produced the breakthrough hit "Where's My Love," which catapulted SYML onto the music radar. With his blend of singer-songwriter, dreamy synth-pop, and folk influences, the American creates a wistful, dreamlike atmosphere that feels like gazing out at the vast sea on a calm summer evening. We can expect this same vibe from his upcoming fourth album "Nobody Lives Here," set to be released on April 4. The already released singles "Careful" and "A100" offer a taste of what's to come.
