When the guys aren't busy saving the world with a cinema snack, they turn the amps up to 11 in their secret lab for genetically modified Indie/Pop-Rock. But this heroic troupe is always ready when needed - whether for energetic music that sticks in your head or a tasty bag of popcorn. — — — Short biography: Founded in Eichstätt in 2020, initially as an unnamed wedding band, Popcorn Molecule quickly developed into a serious act in the Southern German indie scene. With their debut track “Don’t Let Yourself Down”, they made their first mark in 2022 – over 4,000 Spotify streams in the first four weeks showed: Something substantial is emerging here. After a personnel realignment on drums, the band grew to its current strength in 2023. Further releases followed, culminating in the release of their first EP “RECIPE” in April 2024. Since then, Popcorn Molecule has regularly been heard on student stages and festivals in Bavaria – and since 2025 at the latest, has also become an integral part of the regional live scene. With energetic shows on renowned stages such as the Theatron in Munich's Olympic Park and the Siegestor at IAA Mobility, they have impressively established themselves as a live band this year. Support gigs for acts like Black Foxxes and (soon) Brew Berrymore underscore their steadily growing relevance in the indie and alternative sector.
