BRINGS - BRINGS Tour 2026 | verlegt auf den 10.04.26
BRINGS The band founded by brothers Peter and Stephan Brings has experienced just about every high and low that musicians can face over the past two decades. In the late 1990s, the band seemed to have already seen its best years, alongside their famous fathers (including Rolly Brings, the legendary singer Tommy Engel, and politician Norbert Blüm). Then, in 2000, they achieved what many would happily call a lottery win with "Superjeilezick." This explosive power polka has become more popular with each passing year and is now one of the most beloved songs in Kölsch dialect, far beyond just Carnival. Thanks to "Superjeilezick," doors opened wide for Brings in the carnival stronghold of Cologne. A new era began for the band, complete with a successful image transformation.
From then on, it was a whirlwind. Hardly a Carnival season in recent years has gone by without a new party hit from Brings. "Poppe, Kaate, Danze" (initially considered a scandal number, now one of the band's major crowd-pleasers), "Sulang mer noch am Lääve sin," "Halleluja," "Dat is Geil," "Polka, Polka," or the always touching and uplifting "Mama, wir danken dir" are all ringing proof of how well Brings understands the feelings and moods of their audience. They have also developed a keen sense for original cover versions: "Man müsste noch mal 20 sein" (an adaptation of the 50s hit by Cologne original Gerhard Jussenhoven) and the Zarah Leander evergreen "Nur nicht aus Liebe weinen" have been revitalized with gusto. They seamlessly incorporate gypsy melodies, polkas, and other folkloric elements into their own songs, amplifying them with the power of rock music.
"In a carnival set, we try to capture the essence of a concert in half an hour. We want to entice people to come by and experience a real concert," says Peter Brings, who, along with his bandmates, pours their heart and soul into every performance with an energetic stage presence and tireless live presence on nationwide tours and festivals, as well as during Carnival: No one sweats louder, no one exhausts themselves more visibly, and no band in the German-speaking world allows the audience to feel their music more directly and immediately at concerts.
Brings has never held back their words. The fact that they have occasionally stirred controversy with their songs has only made them more popular. Their concerts across Germany are attended by thousands of fans every year, and this has been the case for over 30 years. As their biggest hit says, they are true "Kölsche Jungs." -->Get Tickets<--
