The Deutschlandticket is a nationwide monthly pass for Germany’s local & regional transport (U-/S-Bahn, trams, buses, RB/RE). In 2026 the price is €63/month. It’s a subscription you can cancel monthly (no annual lock-in).

Use it any day, including weekends and holidays, across participating networks nationwide. Buy once in your app; ride everywhere local/regional.

Format: digital (app ticket) or physical chip card.

Anyone travelling within Germany can subscribe. You’ll need an account with a sales partner (e.g., MVG/MVV in Munich or DB Navigator) and an IBAN for SEPA direct debit. The pass is personalised and non-transferable.

Note: The regular Deutschlandticket does not include accompanying passengers, dogs or bikes by default, check your local network for add-ons.

Can Children Travel With The Deutschlandticket?

Children under 6 ride free on public transport in Germany. From 6+, they need their own ticket (or their own Deutschlandticket/discount product if eligible).

No. It’s personalised and cannot be shared or transferred.

How Do I Cancel My Deutschlandticket?

It’s a monthly subscription. To avoid being charged for the next month, cancel by the 10th with your provider (MVG, DB, etc.).
